We held panel discussions and other activities involving all employees to incorporate their thoughts for the future of Nihon Kohden into a Long-term Vision. Based on an understanding of the opinions and ideas obtained through these activities, we formulated BEACON 2030 after productive discussions with the management and next-generation leaders.
The 2030 PROJECT comprised of 25 next-generation leaders was launched to create a Long-term Vision together with the management.
A total of 47 operating officers and next-generation leaders gathered for two-days of intensive workshops. Through the workshops, we shared Nihon Kohden’s vision for the future.
To realize the participation of all employees in the process of establishing a Long-term Vision, we conducted an employee survey in Japan. A total of 2,155 employees responded to five questions, including "What challenges does Nihon Kohden need to address?", "What sort of organization should the Company become?”
We conducted panel discussions on the future of Nihon Kohden with over 3,000 employees from all divisions and subsidiaries. 34 sessions were held globally and four to five panelists, selected from the younger generation at each division, directly talked with President Ogino.
Through the employee survey and panel discussions, we found that many employees across generations and national boundaries have a common vision of what they want Nihon Kohden to look like in 2030. Although we postponed the announcement due to the COVID-19 outbreak, we have confirmed that there will be no change in our vision for the next 10 years. BEACON 2030 was announced in September 2020.
