First we would like to sincerely thank all medical workers for your continued support.
We would also like to express our respect and deep appreciation for your daily efforts to treat patients at the frontline of medical care during the COVID-19 pandemic that is currently taking place around the world. We would further like to express our deepest condolences to the relatives of all those who have passed away due to COVID-19 and to extend our sympathies to those who have fallen ill and their families, as well as praying for their speedy recovery.
Currently, the Nihon Kohden Group is focused on providing as much of the medical equipment needed at the forefront of medical care, such as patient monitors and ventilators, as possible, by increasing production at the Tomioka Production Center and elsewhere. We would like to contribute to maintaining the ability of healthcare systems to function in this unprecedented situation, and to continue accepting COVID-19 patients, by providing medical equipment and services that have been subjected to the strictest infection prevention measures.
We know that medical workers everywhere are risking your lives in your work to save as many patients as possible, and we feel sorry for the burden of strain and worry that this places on you and your families. We would like to express our respect for all medical workers who are working on at the frontline of the COVID-19 fight, and assure you that Nihon Kohden will continue to make it a priority to support you.
