Nihon Kohden Corporation announces today that it has established a new sales subsidiary in Saudi Arabia, a wholly owned subsidiary of Nihon Kohden, aiming to expand its sales in the Middle East & Africa. The new sales subsidiary started operations in January 2026.
Nihon Kohden established Nihon Kohden Middle East FZE in Dubai, United Arab Emirates in 2012 and Nihon Kohden East Africa Ltd. in Kenya in 2017, and has strengthened its sales and service capabilities in the Middle East & Africa.
In the Middle East & Africa, the medical infrastructure has been developing in accordance with economic growth and the medical device market is expected to grow. With the establishment of this new sales subsidiary, Nihon Kohden will increase the Company’s recognition by further strengthening sales and service activities which meet local specification in the Middle East & Africa to support local distributors in Saudi Arabia and neighboring countries.
In its Three-year Business Plan, BEACON 2030 Phase Ⅱ, Nihon Kohden focuses on complying with laws and regulations related to medical equipment and strengthening local R&D, production, sales, and service capabilities. The Company will continue to expand its overseas business by strengthening its local business structures and providing high quality and advanced medical devices.
The impact of this matter on the consolidated results for FY2025 ending March 31, 2026 will be minor.
