Nihon Kohden supported Tokyo Marathon 2017 with AED.

On Sunday February 26, over 36,000 runners came for the Tokyo Marathon 2017. The 42-kilometer course starts from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building and the runners ran through Nihombashi and Asakusa. The course also includes touristic places such as Kuramae district near Tokyo Skytree tower which is the symbol of Tokyo today, and Onarimon district near Tokyo Tower which symbolized Tokyo in the past. The new finish line was on the Gyoko-dori Avenue in front of Tokyo Station.
Nihon Kohden volunteers with AEDs were posted along the route and there was also a mobile team called BLS team who runs 42.195km by bike watching the whole race and all the runners crossed the finish line.

The three-day event, Tokyo Marathon EXPO 2017 was held at the Tokyo Big Sight prior to the marathon. Nihon Kohden had a booth where people could get hands-on knowledge about CPR and a quiz challenge corner and we had many visitors. What was more impressive was that a lot of visitors from abroad watched our demonstration of CPR earnestly.
