Nihon Kohden establishes sales subsidiary in Brazil

Nihon Kohden Corporation announced the establishment of a sales subsidiary in San Paulo, Nihon Kohden Do Brasil Ltda. The sales subsidiary will aim to expand the market across the Brazil which is one of the major markets in Latin America. Operations will commence in April 2012.
Until now Nihon Kohden’s Latin American representative office has conducted sales activities in Brazil through local agencies. Brazil has shown strong economic growth and the medical equipment market is expected to expand. Accordingly, we are establishing this direct sales office to expand operations in Brazil. The new direct sales office will perform sales and service operations with regional agencies with the aim of enhancing brand image and providing tailored customer services.
Under its SPEED UP III mid-term business plan, Nihon Kohden is strengthening its operations in emerging economies to seize the growth opportunity. We will continue to develop products tailored to emerging markets as well as expand our sales network.
