Nihon Kohden announces new HL7 gateway server software with MFER

TOKYO, JAPAN - Nihon Kohden announces new HL7 gateway server software, QP-993PK. The new gateway server enables data communication between the hospital or clinical information system (HIS, CIS) and a Nihon Kohden patient monitoring system.

HL7 is a global standard for communication of health care information between different types of devices and systems. The QP-993PK gateway server also uses the new MFER standard for encoding waveforms. MFER can encode ECG, EEG, respiratory and many other kinds of waveforms.

The QP-993PK gateway server provides strong support for automatic patient charting and a solution for managing EMR (electronic medical records) and anesthesia records.
