Nihon Kohden introduces WEE-1000 wireless EEG unit

March 1, 2004

TOKYO, JAPAN - Nihon Kohden introduced the WEE-1000 wireless EEG unit. Patients can freely and comfortably move around without being connected to an EEG machine. A transmitter that can be worn in a pouch sends 32 EEG channels to an EEG unit. WEE-1000 has much longer battery life than similar devices and is useful for long-term EEG and sleep monitoring.

The WEE-1000 backs up 60 minutes of EEG data for seamless recording when a patient temporarily moves out of the wireless range. Wired communication is also possible. Both EEG and PSG electrode junction boxes are available.

Nihon Kohden is Japan's leading manufacturer, developer and distributor of patient monitors, defibrillators, ECGs, EEGs, EP/EMGs, hematology analyzers and other medical electronic equipment with subsidiaries in the United States, Europe and Asia and distributors in nearly every country in the world.
