MADRID, SPAIN - In order to strengthen marketing in the Spain and Portugal region, Nihon Kohden Corporation has established a new subsidiary in Madrid. The new subsidiary, Nihon Kohden Iberia, opens for business on April 1, 2003.

Until now, the European subsidiary, Nihon Kohden Europe, had handled marketing in Spain and Portugal by a network of distributors. This market is expected to grow and with the establishment of the new subsidiary for marketing and sales, and technical support, Nihon Kohden aims to strengthen the distributor network and increase sales.
