Nihon Kohden introduces cardioLife TEC-7700 series defibrillators with biphasic waveform

November 20, 2002

TOKYO, JAPAN - Nihon Kohden has introduced new automated external defibrillators, the cardioLife TEC-7700 series with biphasic waveform defibrillation.

Biphasic waveform defibrillation requires lower energy than conventional monophasic and causes less damage to myocardium. Nihon Kohden's unique ActiBiphasic technology also provides more efficient defibrillation than conventional biphasic circuits.

TEC-7700 also provides the same advanced features as the monophasic TEC-7600 defibrillators: AED function with disposable pads, CPR timing sound and optional voice prompt to guide less experienced operators, multi-parameter monitoring including SpO2, CO2, NIBP and 12 lead ECG analysis, noninvasive pacing, a color TFT LCD screen, fast charging and quick ECG waveform recovery after defibrillation, and an ecological and powerful NiMH battery.

Nihon Kohden is Japan's largest manufacturer and distributor of medical electronic equipment. For more information, visit the Company's web site at www.nihonkohden.com.
