Nihon Kohden introduces cardiolife TEC-7600 series defibrillators

June 3, 2002

TOKYO, JAPAN - Nihon Kohden has introduced new automated external defibrillators, the cardiolife TEC-7600 series.

AEDs (automated external defibrillators) are easy to use portable defibrillators that can be used by anybody who is trained in CPR/AED. In the United States, sudden cardiac arrest causes 220,000 deaths a year and it is estimated that one quarter of these deaths could be prevented if someone had taken appropriate emergency action that may include the use of an AED. AEDs are increasingly found in offices, airports, malls and any place where many people gather.

For AED use, TEC-7600 has a disposable pad adapter cable and disposable pads, automatic charging, a CPR timing sound and optional voice prompt to guide less experienced operators.

Other features include multi-parameter monitoring including SpO2 and CO2, a color TFT LCD screen, fast charging and quick ECG waveform recovery after defibrillation, and an ecological and powerful sealed NiMH battery.

TEC-7600 replaces our popular TEC-7500 defibrillators.

Nihon Kohden is Japan's largest manufacturer and distributor of medical electronic equipment. For more information, visit the Company's web site at www.nihonkohden.com.
