Nihon Kohden opens Beijing Representative Office

BEIJING, CHINA - On December 20, 2001, Nihon Kohden opened a Representative Office in Beijing to support sales and marketing in China.
The Representative Office will strengthen support for local distributors, acquire information on China's medical policies on a timely basis and assist in faster completion of registration procedures for market entry (SDA). This will help increase product sales for Nihon Kohden and Shanghai Kohden.
Now that China has joined the WTO, competition is predicted to sharply increase together with the opening up of the Chinese market. Furthermore, the necessity of bringing national systems into line with WTO rules raises the possibility of a major change in regulations involving medical equipment.
