August 7, 2001

TOKYO, JAPAN - Nihon Kohden Corporation introduced new ZB-900P series transmitters to its telemetry transmitter line-up.

The new transmitters are compact and lightweight for patient comfort and have longer battery life. They also provide more stable SpO2 measurement by integrating Nihon Kohden's PQI (Pulse Quality Index) algorithm and BluPRO(R) SpO2 probe. The new transmitters can send data from the patient to a wireless central monitor. The ZB-900P transmitter can be attached to a new series Life Scope bedside monitor and to send data to a central monitor. This allows creation of a flexible wireless network of transmitters and monitors.
